Oracle Applications DBA is very different from a regular Oracle database administrator and requires specialized skills in business administration and Oracle application server architectures. The Oracle Applications DBA job role is less compartmentalized than a traditional Oracle DBA. Oracle Applications DBA is a complex framework of modules that performs basic business administration and the DBA must have a fundamental understanding of the business processes. Oracle EBS 12.2 has gone major change and introduced Oracle Fusion Middleware Component Oracle WebLogic Server and new features introduced like Online Patching ADOP (replacing ADPATCH), Dual File System (Replacing single file system), cloning etc. Both 11i and R12.0 already out of support and R12.1 coming out of support it is important that all the companies using Oracle E-Business Suite must upgrade to Oracle E-Business Suite R12.2
